Top 5 Books Challenge

Updated: Jan 3, 2019

If you don’t already know, reading is the most important key to success. Period.

Don’t believe me? Just ask Warren Buffet, Mark Cuban, Malcolm X and every truly successful person you’ve ever heard of.

I’ve made it a point to read one or two books a month since last year (on top of my reading for grad school). This has made a huge difference in my career and lifestyle. Reading is what truly fuels YOU Inc., because at the end of the day, your capacity for success is only as broad as your mindset.

What I’ve learned is to be intentional with my reading. Practice self-awareness [link to blog post], evaluate where you are in your life and career, and what you need. Then seek out pieces that will help you take the next step and rise to the next level.

So here’s a challenge for you: I’m listing 5 books below. Choose one, read it cover to cover, and then comment below with your biggest takeaway (the most influential part of the book to you). In parentheses are the topics of the each book to help you select one (or two if you’d like).

The readers with the top five most profound takeaways will be featured in next month’s post and on a special AHC podcast episode to share their experiences and insight.

All of these books were written to meet readers where they are, give them advice on optimizing their experiences and help them move to the next level. Let’s get those pages turning!
